The main conflict for "Diary of a Wimpy Kid Double Down", is that when it was time for Greg's concert, he had no clue on how to use his instrument. So, he relied on his partner that had the same instrument as him. Luck just wasn't on his side. "But 10 minutes before showtime, Evan was nowhere to be found. I asked his best friend, Marcus Perez, where Evan was, and Marcus said Evan was getting his braces off today and was going to miss the concert." This is a conflict instead of an important event, because he doesn't know how to use his instrument. Greg starts to sweat when the concert is about to start. When it was time, they had to go in a single filed line. The woodwind section was right behind him, and one of them stepped on Greg's show. Greg went to go fix his shoe, but the door closed on him. This conflict is internal because he has no idea how to use his instrument.

The main conflict for "Diary of a Wimpy Kid Old School," was that people were afraid of "Silas Scratch". This was the main problem because people didn't want to go in some places where "Silas Scratch" could get through. This conflict mainly effected people attending the Hardscrabble Farms. This is mainly a external conflict because its effecting everyone. For example, the text stated that,"Then Albert Sandy was telling everyone that HE heard Silas Scratch had a network of tunnels beneath the cabins, and that's how he's able to move around so quickly." It also said,"One of out chaperones said that when HIS class went to Hardscrabble Farms, a kid named Frankie came across Silas Scratch's shack in the woods. And after Frankie saw it, he was never the same." Now at the end of the story, it turned out that Silas Scratch was a made-up character, made by Greg's dad, mainly because he wanted to keep that private shack to himself.
The main conflict from "Diary of a Wimpy Kid The Long Haul", was that Greg's family lost their key from Soak Central. The key they had, was a key from their locker which had all their electronics, wallets, etc. This problem mainly affects Greg's family because they don't have money to buy food or anything since they're in a long road trip. Greg suspected that it was the "Beardo family" because they took their chair when the rest of their stuff was there. Greg's family was shocked when they lost their key because it had their main stuff in there.
"Everybody searched themselves for the key, but we all came up empty-handed. This was a HUGE problem, because Mom and Dad's cellphones and wallets were in that locker, so we couldn't leave without them. In the end, Greg was going through the clothes he wore, and the key was in one of his shorts."I was going through all the clothes I wore, I picked up my shorts and something fell onto the floor. It was the KEY to Soak Central!" One of the main conflicts for the book "Diary of a Wimpy Kid The Long Haul", is that Greg's mom wants to go to to a road trip when the others don't have interest of going. She got this idea of the road trip from a book she read " Family Frolic". This is a conflict to Greg's family except for is mom because they wanted to spend their summer relaxing, playing video games, and just staying indoors for the air conditioner. This mainly effects Greg and his dad. It effects Greg because he wants to relax on his summer break, "As long as the air conditioner was working and the TV remote had batteries in it, I was all set for a relaxing summer vacation", and it effects his dad because he needs to go to work. Greg's dad said,"Dad told Mom it was a bad time t be away from work and he didn't want to use his vacation days unless he absolutely HAD to." The conflict was resolved by them ending their trip due to their loss of phones, money, and credit cards.
